Shari was a very devoted, caring, loving wife, mother, family member and friend. She got great enjoyment out of any family get together, especially with her two sons, TJ and Brandon and their families. She loved simple dinners, birthday parties, weekend getaways to all out vacations. Shari had a deep love for her grandbabies, all 10 of them! She had plenty of love to give each and every one of them. "Grammy" as they called her, will always be in their memories.
Shari, at a very young age of around 14, made up her mind that she had met the love of her life, Tony. They were engaged right before her 16th birthday and married a couple months after she turned 18. They spent the next almost 42 years raising their family and growing into the people they are now.
Shari had many loves. One of her loves was working with the public. She spent many years as a bartender. Starting at Bories Bowland, where she met Tony, to the Orioles Club. She also spent many years as a retail cashier at family Dollar and Acme. She always said that there is good in all people and made many friends through her friendliness and warm appeal.
Shari was a character, and loved pranks and jokes. There are far too many pranks and jokes to list, but guaranteed if you spent much time with her, you fell prey to one of her tricks.
Shari loved her bowling family. Shari and Tony spent their whole lives in bowling alleys, as did most of her family. Her sons grew up in bowling allies and to this day are still active in the sport. Shari loved the people, whether she was a spectator or a participant. Some of the best people they ever met, they met at a bowling alley.
Shari loved her gambling. She loved going to the casinos. We spent countless trips from going to West Virginia, to Indiana, to Detroit, Michigan and more recently Ohio. She also made three trips to Las Vegas. It was pure entertainment for her. She loved the slots.
One of Shari's greatest loves was traveling. She loved Myrtle Beach. Her and the family have made over 30 trips to Myrtle Beach, the last just being last September. So many memories of all the different vacations and she enjoyed every minute of them.
It can't go without saying, Shari loved her social time and having a couple mixed drinks. A couple drinks, some candles lit and Survivor on the TV was the perfect evening at home. The day before she passed she asked the nurse if she could get a Jim Beam and coke. She was such a fun spirit.
In closing, Shari went way too early. She was an amazing, caring person who will be deeply missed by so many. She went and lived her life as she wanted. She was at peace with God and how she was going to go. We don't always get the chance to show our love in the final moments of life, rest assured she did and received it. Heaven has received a wonderful soul!
