Sharon A. Adorni (nee Godfrey)

Sharon A. Adorni (nee Godfrey), 60, passed away on December 12, 2007. She was born in Akron on December 16, 1946 to the late Clarence and Hazel Godfrey. She retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. after 32 years of service. Sharon enjoyed travel, linedancing, camping, and spending time with her precious grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered as a caring person who loved life and laughter. Survivors include her loving husband and best friend Ronald of 42 years; daughter Michelle (SungKi) Leemaster; son Todd (Sharon Paul); brothers Larry (Debbie) and Gary Godfrey; grandchildren Katie (Cliff), Amanda, Sarah, Noah, and Lauren; brothers-in-law Carl (Shirley) and John (Mona) Adorni; sister-in-law Tina (Nick) Massoli; and many dear family members and friends. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Douglas Trochelman and the 7th floor Oncology staff at Akron City Hospital for their care and support during Sharon's illness. Calling hours will be Friday, 6-9 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m., Pastor John Wilson officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery in Mogadore. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
