Sharon Clarise Jacobs

May 23, 1938 — June 11, 2018

Sharon Clarise (nee Wilhite) Jacobs, was born on May 23, 1938, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ruby (nee Phy) Wilhite.

Sharon is survived by her husband, James Edward Jacobs, they were married for 35 years. She also leaves behind two surviving sons, Joseph Michael (Debi) Pemberton of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Timothy Allen (Kimberly) Pemberton of Kent, OH; her special niece and close friend, Hope Cristine (nee Wilhite) (Earl) Cooper-Oliver of Honolulu, HI; her grandchildren, Joshua Allen Pemberton, Ashley Marie Pemberton, and Melissa (Andrea) Davis, Chelsea Louise Pemberton, and Emily Sharon Pemberton; and great-grandchildren, Jonathan Allen West-Pemberton, Mariah Lynn Crichfield, Haley Jean West-Pemberton, and Michael Carl Earlenbaugh.

She also leaves to cherish her memory, the Jacobs family, Joe and Lu Jacobs of Nashville, Dennis and Kathy Jacobs, Jerry and Debbie Jacobs, Bob and Juli Jacobs all of Cuyahoga Falls, Rosemary and Glenn Luttner of Twin Lakes, Ohio; her step-children, Trish Lynn Jacobs-Romis and Sean Michael Jacobs; and many nieces and nephews, she loved them all; her life-long friend, Charlotte Kyker Musser, I loved all those Thursday outings we had, "thanks for a lifetime of good memories".

With Jim came the big family she always craved. She enjoyed the many family gatherings, the laughter, with-out a doubt, the food contributions to the festivities, and all those trips out to eat Mexican.

Sharon enjoyed her relationships with many friends that made her retirement so enjoyable, Barbara, Ed and Janet, Merita and her girls, Carol and Cris and their clan, Libby, and many more, she gathered angels as she went through her life.

Sharon enjoyed her career in the health insurance arena working for Washington National Insurance. Then fate struck, she was offered a position at the Lawson Milk Co. working directly with all employees taking care of related health care benefits. Fate struck again, Lawson's was bought by Dairy Mart, she switched from insurance to purchasing on the manufacturing side of the business. (Ate lots of ice cream samples there). Retirement came in 1995, she became a stay at home retiree, reading (all those books she never had time for), thinking (remembering all the good times she had and missed so many of those who went before). She fell in love with the art of crocheting (learned Ruby's knee), making baby blankets, lap robes, cuddle blankets out of fleece.

Enough said! She leaves you behind with this poem to remember her by:

I give you this
One thought to keep:
I am with you still;
I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunshine on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone
I am with you still
In each new dawn.
