Sharon V. Lach

June 18, 1962 — April 2, 2024

Sharon V. Lach, 61, of Ravenna, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2024. Sharon was raised in a very religious Baptist home, and her faith was something she valued deeply. She always prayed regularly for the health and success of those around her. With her faith, Sharon has joined the Lord in paradise.

Sharon grew up as one of six children in Macedonia, Ohio on a farm where they raised various animals including horses and ducks. She loved to fish and spending time on boats with her partner of many years, Gust. She was proud of the time she caught an eight-pound Walleye (on a Perch rig).

She was a big animal lover, especially when it came to her dogs, Tiza and Charlie. She had a green thumb when it came to growing plants, and she loved her award-winning African Violets.

Sharon had a giant heart and cared tremendously for those closest to her. One of the ways she would share her love with those in her life, was through her baking and cooking. The highlight of her culinary skills were her cheesecakes and banana breads.

Sharon worked at Step Two in Streetsboro for 13 years. It was there where she received the greatest blessing of her life, her son, Jeremy. She spent most of his childhood as a stay at home mom, where she devoted all her love and energy to raising Jeremy, and his childhood neighbors, Tyler and Hudson.

Later in her life, she took a position at Securitas where she worked part-time to fill in when her son had to go to college.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Sharon Baumberger.

Sharon will be deeply missed by her son, Jeremy Lach (Kevin Warmolts); her life-partner of over 30 years, Gust Mackey; Jeremy's father, James Lach; twin sister, Karen; sisters, Mary, Becky, and Donna; brother, David; niece, Kimberly Barber; nephew, Mark Duke; cousin, James Duke; and mother-in-law, Margaret Lach.

A Celebration of Sharon's Life will take place on Saturday June 22, 2024 from 1pm until 5pm at the Sterling Smith Shelter at Havre's Park, 428 New Milford Rd, Ravenna, OH 44266.
