Sharon L. Legg, 74, passed away peacefully December 6, 2021 at the Hospice Care Center. She never stopped fighting or moving forward, no matter how sick she was or tired from illness, she was always determined. When others would have broken, she stayed strong and determined. She lived an example of resilience and perseverance. She didn't know the word quit and was born a fighter, a doer, always staying active and involved to keep busy. Always putting others' needs first and worrying about those she loved most. Born in Barberton, Ohio she was a lifelong Akron area resident. Sharon passionately loved her flower garden, bird watching, traveling adventures and hitting the slots on occasion. Her biggest joy came from spending time with her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard V. Legg and parents, father, John R. O'Dell and mother, Ruth Butler Tepfenhart; step-father, Steve Tepfenhart; uncle, Joseph Tepfenhart. Sharon will be sadly and dearly missed by her daughter Karen L. Clemens (former son-in-law David Clemens) and grand daughters Alexandrea N. Clemens and Breanna R. Clemens. She is survived by son, Bernard V. Legg II and granddaughter Miranda R. Legg. She will be missed by friends and especially remembered by lifelong friends Patty and Larry Davis, Sally Dubravetz and Lena Adorni.
Family and friends are invited to visit Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 4-6 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will take place Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
