Sharon Elizabeth Miller

Sharon E. Miller, age 73, of Akron, passed away on February 5, 2025 at Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center. She was born on October 19, 1951 to the late Paul and Maggie Dudding. 

On March 23, 1973, she married Gerry Miller. Sharon and Gerry lived in the Akron, OH area for most of their lives together. 

Sharon worked as a PBX Operator for Medical Services Bureau for over 25 years before her retirement. 

She was a faithful member of Passion Church in Hartville, OH. 

Sharon loved her family, especially her grandchildren. When she was not with her grandchildren, she enjoyed reading, doing sudoku and staying up way too late. She is deeply loved and her family will cherish her memory forever. 

Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Gerry; son, Kevin (Emily) Miller; grandchildren, Benjamin, Natalie, Jake and Tessa Miller; sister, Pearl (Bud) Snyder; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Dudding, Jr.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305) on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 5pm to 7pm.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 10am with Pastor Matt Stull officiating. Sharon will then be laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Park (1025 Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44312).
