Sharon Lee Short

Sharon Lee Short, 74, of Atwater, passed away on January 15, 2019. She was born in Huntington, West Virginia on June 4, 1944 to the late Delbert and Lucille Hagley. Sharon was fond of the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Short Sr.; and brother, Delbert Hagley Jr. She will be dearly missed by her sons, Randy (Angie) Edwards and Kenneth (Christina) Short Jr.; grandchildren, Randy Edwards Jr., Ashley Williams, Kenneth Short III (Tina Bucci), Samantha (David) Kurtz, and Emily Short; great-grandchildren, Landon, Carolyn, Nicole and one on the way; and partner and companion, Daniel Blake. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 11-12 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, followed by a procession to Greenlawn Memorial Park for a committal service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
