Shawn T. Conley, age 61, of Akron, Ohio, died on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at his home.
He was born on August 10, 1955 in Akron, the son of the late John William and Joann Morrison Conley.
Shawn was a 1973 graduate of Garfield High School. Mr. Conley was a plumber by trade for 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and traveling.
Survivors include his wife, the former Nancy A. Lawver, whom he married on February 22, 2002; his children, Rachel and Shawn Conley, and his step-children, Brittany (Tim) Thomas, and Bryan; his grandchildren, Nickson Conley, Kolton, Kade, Kooper, and Langston "Sissy" Thomas; his brother and best friend, Brian (Debbie) Conley; his sisters, Johanna (Doug) Higgins, Joanie Conley, and Kathleen Conley; nieces, nephews, and many cousins and friends, who truly loved him.
Other than his parents, Shawn was preceded in death by his brother, John Kevin Conley.
Nancy would like to thank his caretaker, Melody from the AGCC Hospice group, Dena Hunt and the Akron General Cancer Center, and Life is Good-ALOHA!
Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron at 12:00 PM, Friday, April 21, 2017, where his nephew, Pastor David Bever will celebrate Shawn's life.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
