Shawn Matthew Evanchek

Shawn Matthew Evanchek, 34, of Akron, passed away on January 20, 2022. He was born in Akron on February 5, 1987 and graduated from Ellet High School in 2005, where he lettered in football and baseball. For the past four years, Shawn has worked as a finance manager at Ganley Toyota. Shawn's life was brief, but he did a lot of living while he was here. He loved boating and taking spur of the moment trips. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Shawn was preceded in death by his grandparents, Geraldine and John Laney, and Bill Evanchek; aunt and uncle, Carol Ann Dickson and Randy Dickson; and uncle, Rudy Evanchek.
He is survived by his mother, Denise (Brian) Lutz; father, Matthew Evanchek; brother, Joshua Lutz; niece, Saphira; grandmother, Louise Evanchek; aunts and uncles, Linda Williams, John (Elaine) Laney, Mike (Monika) Evanchek, Cyndi (Tom) Kamp, and Susie Lutz; and many cousins including Mikayla, Hailey, Ashlee, Devlyn, Kendall, Heather (Greg), Sebastian, Danielle (Tim). Taylor, and Jasmine, Trisha, Alisha, and Tasha. Shawn also leaves his beloved dog and best friend, Kobe.
A celebration of Shawn's life will be held at the Hillside Tavern, 2863 Waterloo Rd. in Randolph on Saturday, January 29, 2022 beginning at 5 p.m.
