Sheila Jean Hodnichak, 58, of Akron, passed away March 27, 2011. She was born December 5, 1952 in Akron and graduated from Garfield High School in 1971. Sheila was always the rock for her family. She was a loving and understanding wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, Gene Colegrove; sister, Pamela Walker; grandmother, Clodeen Tennant; and great-aunts, Evelyn and Lillian. She is survived by her husband, George, with whom she would have celebrated 20 years of marriage on October 19th; children, Sherrie Tennant, Shellie and Derick Harris, Charles and Bianca Tennant, Jr.; and James and Toni Tennant; grandchildren, Alicia, Denise, Shane, Andrew, Taylor, D'Asia, Shayleen, Dylan, Cheyenna, Logan, and Aubrey; mother, Patsy Colegrove; sister, Rhonda and Herb Seabolt; brother, Dennis and Dana Colegrove; grandfather, Charlie Tennant; special friend, Shirley and Joe Stadleman; father-in-law, George Hodnichak, Jr.; in-laws, James and Dina, Joshua, Adam, and Nathan, Michael, and Cheryl Hodnichak; her beloved dogs, Sabrina and Maggie; and many other family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday from 10-12 followed by a 12 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sheila's family.
