Shelby J. Adkins (nee Shopper), 68, passed away on July 21, 2007. Born on August 13, 1938 in Bellaire, OH to the late Edward and Lena (Bartolomucci) Shopper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother Gary L. Shopper. She is survived by husband Avery of 50 years; daughter Tina M. (Mark) Costanzo; son Thomas Michael (Lori) Adkins; special grandchildren Andrew, Amanda, Anthony, Aaron, and Michaela Adkins, Matthew and Timothy Costanzo; step-grandson Conner Ault; sister Brenda Spohn; special niece Laurie Zalac; aunt Margaret Bartolomucci; sisters-in-law Frankie Rose, Anna Mae Prater, and Mildred Shopper; many special nieces, nephews, and cousins; former daughter-in-law Michelle Adkins and special companion "Girlfriend". A funeral mass will be Tuesday, 1 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 750 S. Main St. Akron. Family and friends may gather from 12:30 to 1 p.m. at the church. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care Center, C. Blake McDowell Cancer Center, Akron Heart Association or a charity of one's choice.
