Shelley R. Walkley

Shelley R. Walkley, age 56 of Akron, passed away on September 9, 2021.

Shelley was born on November 18, 1964 in Akron to Richard and Barbara (Lowe) Wise. She loved camping and spending time outdoors. She enjoyed listening to music and shopping. Shelley spent a lot of time cooking and baking, and always tried to feed everyone. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, who affectionately called her "Mama, Mama Bear, or Nana."

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, James, and nephew, Donnie Walkley.

She is survived by her children, Angel (Joseph) Urban, and Jeffrey (Rebecca) Walkley, grandchildren, Jordyn Walkley, Carly Urban, Jayden Urban, and a baby on the way, sisters, Cheryl (Carl) Teagle, and Tammy (John) Smith, brother, Dean (Laura) Wise, and multiple nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends and family may come to call on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 12-2 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home in Akron. Celebration of life will follow at 2 p.m.

The family requests that everyone who attends wears a mask.
