Shelly L. Montgomery

Shelly Montgomery, age 45, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday December 28, 2017. Born in Akron, Ohio, the 1990 graduate from Tallmadge High School had recently returned and resided in Tallmadge. Shelly loved spending time with family and attending large family get-togethers, travelling, technology, her pets and music.

Shelly is survived by: her husband of 10 years, Ken Montgomery; daughter, Savannah Montgomery; parents, James and Karen Wood; brother, James A. Wood; and sister, Robi Hershberger (Wood). Nephews, Gavin Wood, Matt Hershberger, Alex Hershberger and Christopher Hershberger were also all extremely important to Shelly.

Calling hours will be Tuesday January 2nd, from 6 to 8 pm at Newcomer 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, OH 44305. A short memorial service will start at 7 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Montgomery family.
