Shelton L. Hartline
Shelton L. "Buck" Hartline, 95, of Munroe Falls, passed away November 21, 2008 at Hospice Care Center. He was born September 27, 1913 in Ida, Alabama to the late Wallace & Lavonia (Gifford) Hartline. Buck proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII with the 771st Battalion. He drove a semi truck up until he was 82 years of age. His membership included the Teamsters Local 24 and was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and American Legion. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Hartline; sisters, Vonnie Culberson, Aubrey Satterfield and Vadis Hartline; brothers, B.C. and Harley Hartline. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne (Williamson) Hartline; daughter, Shannon (David) Heiss; sons, Donald (Patricia) and Shelton Lee (Candi); daughter-in-law, Susan Hartline; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Estee Palmer; many special nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Monday from 5 - 7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home followed by a funeral service beginning at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Sam Rittenour officiating. Interment will take place 11:30 a.m., Tuesday at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. The family wishes to extend their thanks for the wonderful care from Dr. David Cola, Dr. Stephen Bodjanac, Visiting Nurse Services, Hospice Home Care and Care Center as well as Diana.
