Sherry Rosier, age 62 of Akron, Ohio, died on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 1:18 PM at her home.
She was born in Logan, Ohio, on July 26, 1954, the daughter of the late James Blankenship and Frieda Mae Brown Blankenship Thompson.
Sherry was a 1972 graduate of Logan High School in Hocking and was a retired beautician. Sherry enjoyed flower gardening, cooking and was an excellent baker. But her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Douglas Arthur Rosier, whom she married on March 27, 2001; her two sons, Joseph W. (Sheenna) Phillips, Sr., and Jeremy B. Phillips; her grandchildren, Joshua, Joseph, Jr., Jordan (Samantha), Jacey, Juleigha, Jeridan; and one great-grandson, Kayden. Her siblings also survive, Penny (Thomas) Hines, Roy (Diane) Blankenship and James "Jim" Blankenship.
Other than her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by her twin sister, Sheila Wolfinger.
Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 1:00 PM, where family and friends may visit from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Pastor Gary Smith will celebrate Sherry's life.
Following services, Sherry will be cremated.
