Shirley Ann Gearhart (Lutz)

Shirley Ann Gearhart (Lutz), 76 of Senecaville Township, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2011 at her residence. She was born September 8, 1934 in Mogadore, Ohio to the late Edson & Hilda (Darrah) Lutz. Shirley grew up, and raised her family in Mogadore, and in 1999 moved to Senecaville, Ohio to enjoy retirement with her husband Jim. Shirley enjoyed bowling, BINGO, dancing, gaming and loved working the fish fry dinners at the Mogadore VFW. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Zimmerman. She is survived by her husband, James Gearhart; daughters, Sandra L. Donalds (Paul) of Pickerington OH and Julie A. Consolo (Vince) of Freeport PA; sons, Michael J. (Jean) of Corona CA, Jeffrey L. of Senecaville OH, and Jody L. (Jernae) of Las Vegas NV; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Pastava (Ray) of Mogadore OH; brothers, Charles Lutz (Carollene) of Barberton OH and David Lutz (Inga) of Mogadore; many aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Bob Fleming officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the service begins.
