Shirley M. Christner

Shirley M. Christner, 56, of Akron, passed away on October 12, 2005 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She leaves behind her husband of 38 years, Jim; son, Michael (Erin); daughter, Jennifer (Ed) Grubb; granddaughters, Jamie and Emily; mother, Evelyn Sharpe; father, Clyde Ebel (Carol) all of Akron; sisters, Susan (Ed) Hileman, Claudia Ebel (Lawton Molyneaux), Jackie Higgins and twin sister, Sharon Daley (Jerry) of Florida. A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Calling hours will be from 2:00 p.m. Saturday until the service begins. The family wishes to thank her many friends and co-workers from Heather Knoll, for their show of love and support. Special thanks also to those who gave so much of themselves during this time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to 62 Shady Acres Rd., Akron OH 44312 in order to be dispersed to Shirley's favorite charities.
