Shirley Ann Cobb

Shirley Ann Cobb, age 69 of Akron passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020 with her family by her side. She was born on September 21, 1950, the daughter of Roy and Ethel I. {Swain} Higgins.
Shirley will be dearly missed by her husband, Jeff; daughters Tammy (Doug) Whited and Anna Martin; grandchildren Jacqueline, Quartni, and Cameron; puppies Poe and Brutus; best friend Rhonda, and many other dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Gene, Margie and Clara.
Shirley loved to be "out and about," especially her trips to North Carolina to visit her favorite cousins. She loved the sunshine, and was devoted to her family. Shirley enjoyed her thumb wars with her grandson Cameron, and shared a special bond with each one of her grandkids. She was the grandma that loved to create egg hunts and go swimming with the kids. Shirley was an independent person who never complained, regardless of what she may have been going through. We love you with all our hearts, our beautiful angel.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7th. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dwayne Ray officiating.
