August 20, 1945 — March 16, 2017
Shirley Friend, 71, departed this earth on March 16, 2017. A lifelong resident of Akron, she will be missed by many. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, John Friend, a US Navy veteran. She is survived by her children, Cheryl Worcester, Brian (Linda) Bergstrom, Diane Bergstrom; grandchildren, Steven, Patrick and Audrey Bergstrom, Kelsee and Ryan Bergstrom, and Drew Inman, Morgan Inman and Hunter Hughes; and special friends, Linda Kotts and Debbie Russell. The family would like to thank the staff at Pebble Creek for taking special care of our mother. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place.
