Shirley Mae Grecni went home to Jesus on November 11, 2021 at age 90
Shirley was adopted by Charles and Ruth Layton on December 11,1930 in Akron, Ohio. She married Joseph Grecni Sr. November 24, 1951 and had 5 children together.
In addition to being a mother, Shirley also loved sewing, knitting and baking. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Later in life she joined the sisterhood of The Church of the Crucified One where she was known as Sister Magdalene Marie.
Shirley joins her parents, Charles and Ruth Layton, and good friend Jean in Heaven.
She is survived by daughter, Barbara Speaks (Bill), sons Joseph Grecni (Molly Moriarty), James Grecni (Penny), Stephen Grecni (Marcy) and David Grecni. Grandchildren, Chrissy Kennedy (Bill), Katie Bungard(Matt), Kevin Speaks (Jelitza), Julie Dendy (Corey), Michelle Grenci, Steve Grecni, Billy Preston, David Preston, John Preston, and Richard Preston. Great Grandchildren, Owen Bungard, Isabelle Kobyluck and Alice Bungard.
The family will be celebrating her life privately at a later date.
