Shirley Young of Akron passed away September 12, 2012. She was born in Elmira, WV to the late Sherman and Gay Carter. Shirley's favorite times were spent loving and caring for her family.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Robert Sr.; sons, Richard (Donna); Dennis (Sandra), Tarry and Robert II (Jackie); daughter, Melanie (Kenneth) Cauthen; 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marlene Mace and Marge Clevenger; many nieces and nephews
Family and friends may call on Sunday, September 16, from 4-8 PM and Monday, September 17 from 1-2 PM at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will follow at 2 PM Rev. Mark Gerwig officiating. Interment at East Liberty Cemetery.
