Shirley J. Tucker

Shirley J. Tucker, 85, passed away peacefully at home April 23, 2024 with family by her side. Born in Akron, Ohio to Roy and Juanita (Haft) Wetzel, she was a lifelong area resident. Shirley was an active homemaker who enjoyed traveling, exercising, ceramics, baking, cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She was always involved in her kids' scouting activities. Shirley was a very sociable person who belonged to various groups that shared a love of metaphysics.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Bob Tucker; siblings, Melvin Wetzel, Alice Kiem, Linda Duffield. She will be sadly missed by her children, Brian (Debby), Jackie (Vern) Baronie, Bruce (Michelle); grandchildren, Brian, Vernon Jr., Jake, Bryce, Brett (Faith), Brandy (Kyle); great grandson, Barrett; sister, Joanne Wolf; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family wishes to thank neighbor Bill and his family for all the assistance they provided for mom.

Per Shirley's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will have a celebration of her life at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Shirley's name to the Haven of Rest.
