Sidney R. Pearl, departed from us, suddenly, on October 3, 2020 at the age of 69.
He was born on December 8, 1950 in Natchez, Mississippi, to the late Dorothy Mae Pearl.
Sidney moved to Akron, Ohio at an early age where he graduated from South High School "BIG BLUE" in 1970. After graduating, he was employed by General Tire for 10 years until the closing of the company. This prompted him to become a DJ and establish Pearl Jam Factory, a successful entertainment company. He was also a certified Ballroom instructor and dancer for many years. Sidney was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, loved riding his motorcycle and driving his candy apple red Firebird and Van. He also loved cooking and entertaining family and friends. He was always a person you could depend on for many things to include providing sound advice in times of need. In his later years, he became a caregiver for his mother until her passing in 2018 and was a full-time student at the University of Akron, making the Dean's List every semester he attended.
He is preceded in death by grandfather, Tom Hughes, mother, Dorothy Mae Pearl, daughter, Christel Purdie and brother-in-law, Jack Johnson.
