Simon Skeriotis, 95, of Akron, passed away January 29, 2008. Simon was preceded in death by his wife, Kalliope. He will be deeply missed by his children, John, Maria (George) Simiakakis, Jean (Sokratis) Konstantakis, Jim (Sharon), George, and Ted; eleven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Family and friends may call on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Prayers will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a 11 a.m. funeral service at Goodyear Heights Baptist Church, Pastor John Phillips officiating. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society for research.
