Sonia A. Conte (nee Hamilton)
Sonia A. Conte passed away on October 11, 2018. Sonia was born in Jeannette, PA on October 29, 1938 to Howard and Alice Hamilton. Her family moved to Akron in 1952, and Sonia graduated from Ellet High School in 1956. She retired from Aesco Electronics in 1991. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church.
Sonia was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Alice Hamilton, and brother, Howard Hamilton.
Sonia is survived by her husband, Pete; son, Ronald (Rita) Conte; daughter, Valerie (David) Uhall; grandsons, Harrison and Cameron Uhall. Sonia also leaves her sister, Karen Huth; brother, Michael (Karen) Hamilton; sister-in-law, Sue Hamilton; and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Matthew Church 2580 Berne St. Akron, OH 44312 on Monday October 15 at 11am, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sonia's honor to St. Matthew Catholic Church.
