Stephanie Berezonsky (nee Shybinsky)

Stephanie Berezonsky, 77, of Akron, passed away April 19, 2009. She was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to the late Nicholas and Anna Shybinsky. Stephanie danced in and was the leader of the Ukrainian Dancers of Christ the Savior Cathedral in Johnstown. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping, traveling, camping, and spending time at the beach. She fought bravely through many illnesses and was a hero to her family. She was a wonderful wife and mother and will be missed by all who knew her. Stephanie is survived by her husband of 52 years, Mike Berezonsky; children, Mike Berezonsky, Jr. and Annette (Jerry) Stover; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. Resurrection Service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Prayers will be said Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 11:00 a.m. funeral service at St. Mary Orthodox Church, 91 S. Arlington St., Father Myron Zuder officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Akron Blind Center and Workshop, 325 E. Market St., Akron, Ohio 44304.
