Stephen Bednar Jr.

November 11, 1949 — September 30, 2015

Stephen Bednar Jr., rode his tractor through the gates of heaven on September 30, 2015. He loved being outdoors doing yard work, sitting on his tractor, going to Barberton speedway and playing with his dogs. Steve was a hard worker and lent a hand to anyone who needed it. He worked for Goodyear for 29 years and retired from Summa Barberton Hospital after 15 years.


He was preceded in death by his parents; Stephen Sr. and Dorothy; sister, Judy; mother-in-law, Margaret and brother-in-law, David,. Stephen is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie;the high light of his life his daughter, Jennifer; brother-in laws, Kenny (Daphne);Ron( Debra),David(Sherry);sister-in-law, Bev and a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends and his dogs that he loved dearly. A special thank you to Dr. Goswami and his staff, the staff at Akron General Hospital ICU, Dr. Lu Weiquan and Dr. Gangel.


Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 1212 Greensburg Rd, Green,OH 44232. Pastor Glenn Rogers Jr. officiating. Memorial service to follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Temple Baptist Church.
