Stephen E. Keefer, 50, of Akron, passed away on March 7, 2013 after a 17 year battle with Lupus. He was born in Akron on August 10, 1962.
He was an avid Steelers fan, golfer, cruiser, but most of all, Steve enjoyed his wonderful grandchildren.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Keefer.
Steve is survived by his mother and step-father, Almedia Keefer and Alvin Byler; Wanda, his loving wife of 29 years; daughters, Lynn (Eric) Cowie, Trisha and Erin; grandchildren, Jacob, Ian, Tristin and Kasey; brother, Ira (Cindy) Keefer and Robert (Tammy) Keefer; our extended family for their love and support.
Family and friends may call on Monday, March 11, from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 12 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family.
