Stephen J. Rutkowski "Pops"
Stephen J. Rutkowski "Pops", 82, went to be with the Lord on May 25, 2012. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend, always giving out hugs and lighting up the room with his smile and sense of humor. Pops was a devout Catholic who loved the Lord. He proudly served his country with the US Army. Pops enjoyed the last 21 years of retirement from Wesco playing with his grandkids, fishing with his family, golfing, going to casinos, and playing bingo.
He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife, Joanne, of 47 years; sons, Stephen (Jen) and David (Cindy); daughter, Kim Bogucki (Brian); grandchildren, Steven, Ron, Holly, Amy, Krissy, Ryan, and Joshua.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, 5-7 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A prayer service will be held Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Stow. Interment to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
