Stephen Lee Payne, age 63, passed away on Monday April 27th, 2020 after his battle with cancer at Pebble Creek Nursing Facility in Akron, Ohio. He was born February 8th, 1957 in Akron to Robert and Shirley (Thomas) Payne.
He lived in Kenmore his whole life. He was loved by everyone who met him and was always laughing and smiling. He loved being outside, cooking out, fishing, watching sports and hanging out with friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Shirley Payne; sister, Jeanne and brother Jim.
He is survived by his daughter, Chelsea (Lisowski) Delaney; brother Tom; sister Carol Shawhan (Thomas); nephews Stuart and Cole Shawhan; grandsons Blake Delaney, Benson and Jacob Horn; best friends Vince and Kim, Greg, Charlie and Mike; and many cousins, friends and family.
Special thanks to Pebble Creek staff who cared for him and loved him like a father and grandfather.
Services will be held at a later date due to the current circumstance and will include a cook out with family and friends. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at Newcomer 131 N Canton Road Akron, Ohio 44305 or a charity of your choosing.
