Stephen T. Wolak

Stephen T. Wolak, 54, of Wooster OH, passed away on Tuesday, Dec 29, 2020 from complications of lung cancer. Steve was born in and grew up in Lorain OH, one of six children. After graduating from Admiral King High School in 1984, he became a commercial electrician, traveling to multiple states for new construction and factory remodel jobs. Steve could never sit still, never shirked from a hard days work and took tremendous pride in his job. He was a proud member of the IBEW, Local 540 out of Canton, OH and was grateful for the friendships he made there as well as the lifelong friendships he maintained from childhood. On days off, he liked to fish at Findley State Park and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns games and spending time with his family.

Steve is preceded in death by his father, John Wolak and his mother, Kathleen Wolak. He is survived by his daughter, Nicholle Van Antwerp; granddaughter, Melody; his five siblings: Lisa (Jim) Eberhart, Christine Wolak, Michael (Heidi) Wolak, Sarah (Todd) Boughton and Jennifer (Dan) Linneman; many nieces and nephews; and dear family friend Maureen (Tony) Vazzano. Due to the pandemic, there will not be a memorial service at this time, but the family will have a celebration of his life at a later, safer, time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the American Cancer Society or the Salvation Army.
