Steve C. Barna

Steve C. Barna, 66 of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on November 19, 2016. He was born in Akron to the late Robert and Vatchel Barna. He retired in 2009 from Roadway Express. Steve served in the US Navy during Vietnam. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, working on his RV, storytelling, and gardening. Steve was very meticulous, and a jack of all trades. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas. Steve is survived by the love of his life, and wife of 43 years, Jackie; children, Micki (Jordan) Ketterman, Steve Jr. (Nadia), Paul (Stacy) and Jeremiah; grandchildren, Taylor, Jordan, Alyssa, Ethan, Izabella, Lacie; siblings, Robert, Aleta "Suzi", Jimmy Joe (JoAnne), and Michael (Loretta); and a host of other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends on Saturday November 26, 2016 from 3-6pm with the funeral service starting at 6pm.
