Steve Lambert
Steve Lambert was born February 3, 1937 and went home to be with the Lord January 26, 2009 after a short illness at Akron City Hospital and the Cleveland Clinc. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of both hospitals. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Dovie Lambert; brothers in law, Walt Beeman and Bill Gorby; sister in law, Barbara Lambert; and nieces, Diane Beeman and Kristina Gorby. His survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Judi; daughters, Paula Labbe, Kim (Tom) Hostetler, and Stephanie (Kevin) Thomas; son, Steven Sr. (Lisa) Lambert; sisters, Liz Gorby, Jeanette Beeman, and Marge (Keith) Wisecup; brother, Frank (Linda) Lambert; brother in law, Jim (Becky) Perrine. Steve really enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren, Thomas and Rachel Hostetler, Eric Labbe, Amanda and Kyle Thomas, Steven Jr. and Jamie Lambert. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including special friends John (Marlene) Wolfe and Max (Jean) Woodring. He was a member of Teamsters Local 24 and drove long distance for Roadway Express for 25 years, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed bowling three times a week and loved spending time with his family, playing bingo and cards, and fishing. Family and friends may call on Friday from 6 - 9 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Visitation at the funeral home Saturday from 11 12 followed by a 12 p.m. service, Pastor Mark Hadinger officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. Special thanks to Rev.
