Steve Ray Porter

Steve R. Porter, 58, of Akron, passed away on June 5, 2024 at Summa Akron City Hospital. He was born on December 29, 1965 to the late Roy E. Porter, Sr. and Betty "Joann" (nee Brooks).
He graduated from East High School in 1983.
Steve worked as a car salesman for most of his career. He worked at many different locations and was able to travel.
In Steve's free time, he enjoyed watching football and basketball. He also loved to play with his dog, Shannon. He's fondly remembered for being a great, fun-loving guy.
He will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Steve is survived by his loving mother, Joann Santee; siblings, Roy E. (Betty) Porter, Roger J. (Judy) Porter and Laurie Zupancic; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, June 10, 2024 from 11am until the time of his Memorial Service at 12pm at Grace Baptist Church (704 N. Firestone Blvd, Akron, OH 44306).
Monetary donations in Steve's name can be made to Grace Baptist Church or the missionary groups that they sponsor.
