Steven D. Cooper, 57, of Akron, passed away April 21, 2008 at Akron City Hospital. He was born January 30, 1951 in Sheffield, Alabama. Steven served in the U.S. Army and then went on to work for the Ford Motor Company. He was very dedicated to his family and grandchildren. In his free time, he loved fishing and camping. He was preceded in death by his father, David W. Cooper and recently his mother, Virginia (Christian) Cooper on February 20, 2008. He is survived by his daughter, Brianna D. Cooper; sons, Steven D. Cooper II and Anthony A. Cooper; sisters, Glenda (Jerry) Banyar, Pamela (Scott) Behrend and Beth (Ken) Mulhollen; brother, Timothy A. Cooper; and his beloved grandchildren, Mason, Noah and Alexis. PRIVATE family services will be conducted at Newcomer Funeral Home with interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
