Steven Wade Elrod, "Steve", age 62 of Canton, Ohio, died on Friday, July 13, 2018 at his home.
He was born on July 1, 1956 in Tacoma, Washington, the son of David N. and Nancy (nee Simmons) Elrod of Akron, Ohio.
Steven was a retired maintenance man with Goodyear Air Springs. He enjoyed hunting and golf. Steve was a member of United Grace Christian Church.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, the former Suzanne "Sue" P. Woodling, whom he married on August 14, 1993; his children, Alexandria "Alex" Sue Elrod, Nichole "Nikki" Marie Elrod, Malinda Tomko, and Michelle Ridenour; one granddaughter, Chevelle Elrod; his siblings, William "Bill" (Jan) Elrod, Shona (Jeff) Pursley, and Nannette (John) Rader. His mother-in-law also survives, Norma (nee Woodling) Votaw.
Those that preceded him in death are his granddaughter, Elaina Elrod; and his father-in-law, Bruce Votaw.
There will not be any services or calling hours and all arrangements have been handled by Newcomer Funeral Home-Akron.
