Steven D. Melton, age 72, of Akron, passed away on Thursday March 7, 2024. He was born on March 19, 1951 in Akron to the late Otis and Evelyn (Dennis) Melton. He enjoyed fishing and football and being with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years Barbara (Rezack); son Steven Jr. (Shawna) Melton; daughter Michele Petryshak; grandchildren Matthew (Sarah Loughney) Melton, Miah (Austin) Pierce, Michael (Regan Parker) Melton, Sydney Paxton, Madison Paxton, Caitlyn Zeiler ;great-grandson Maverick Pierce; son-in-law David Paxton; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by daughter Dawn Paxton.
Private funeral services for the family have taken place.
