Steven Frank Walton of Akron and formerly of Minerva, Ohio, born March 27, 1965, passed away on September 30, 2019 after an extended illness. Steve attended Minerva High School, then moved on to the School of Culinary Arts in Minnesota. Steve had a varied career, from District Manager for Snapon Tools in California, to District Manager at the Waffle House in Indianapolis, Indiana, and also as a Press Operator and then promoted to Production Lead Man for Metaldyne in Minerva and Twinsburg, Ohio. Recently he had worked as a Pipeline Operator, CDL Truck Driver, and Machine Technician all in Akron, Ohio.
Steven lived life to the fullest, and always strived to learn and try new things. He looked at life as an adventure, and always found the beauty around him.
He is survived by his mother Dorothy J Walton, and his three brothers, James (Lori) Walton, Thomas (Karrine) Walton, and John (Kimberly) Walton, and three sisters Connie (Robert) Blanc, Linda (Jack) Lambert, and Mariann (widow of Clarence) Wright, and numerous nephews and nieces, his roommate and long time friend Bill Blaurock, and his beloved dog Bella, and many, many friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, James R Walton. Per Steve's wishes, there will be no services, and will be cremated and ultimately laid to rest by his father in Salineville at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humane Society would be appreciated, as Steven was an avid supporter of and loved all animals.
