Steven Wayne Winter

Steven Wayne Winter, 59, of Akron, passed away on March 31, 2021. He was born in Akron on February 27, 1962 to the late Wayne and Leona Winter. Steve spent most of his career in sales. In his free time, he was an avid sports fan. He coached basketball and flag football while his son was young and he loved to play golf. Steve was a man of faith and recently returned to the Catholic Church.
Steve will be dearly missed by his son and daughter-in-law, Maxim and Alexus Winter; sisters, Sue (Phil) Dye and Sally (Dan) Roman; nieces and nephews, Melissa, Patrick, David, Julie, Daniel, Nathan, Grace, and Gabe; and many friends. Steve was also excited to receive the news that he would become a grandfather in a few months.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 10-12 followed by a 12 noon funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Please plan on wearing a mask and practicing social distancing. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
