Ethel Sue Sprouse, "Sue", age 68 of Ravenna, Ohio, passed away with her loving family by her side on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 6:40 PM at Akron City Hospital.
She was born on April 19, 1948 in Nebo, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Virgil and Mamie Dawson Boggs.
Sue graduated from Clay County High School in 1966. Sue retired from Meggitt Industries after 32 years of service in 2010 as an inspector. She loved to hunt and being outdoors, she liked to garden, and she canned a lot of fruits and vegetables. Sue enjoyed playing cards, playing poker and visiting casinos. Most of all, Sue loved being with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, John Michael Sprouse, "Mike", whom she was with for 24 years; her children, Tina (Doug) Hastings, Melissa Wise, John Michael Sprouse "Mike", Jr, and Michelle (Doug) Straight; her grandchildren, Brittany, Dakota, Kassidy, Hailey, Abbey, and Riley. Her siblings also survive, Lorraine Hall, Chester (Martha) Boggs, Lenora (Bill) Pettit, and Larry Boggs; and she will be missed by her many friends and all who loved her.
Per Sue's request her wishes are to be cremated and there will not be any calling hours. The family is planning a Celebration of Life from 3:00 - 6:00 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Mogadore Moose Club, 4095 Mogadore Road, Mogadore, Ohio.
