Susan A. Conner, 68, of Akron, passed away February 3, 2014. She was born in Akron on January 7, 1946 to the late Fred and Martha Vinsel.
Susan was a beautician for all of her life and was also employed at McDonald's. She was an excellent homemaker and devoted her life to her husband, children, and grandchildren. Her concern was always for others before herself. In her free time, Susan enjoyed traveling, cruising, and gambling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Karen Roberts. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 49 years, Harry Conner; children, Daniel (Deanna) Conner, Jeffrey (Kelly) Conner, and Julie (Jeffrey) Goff; sister, Barbara Guest, her children, James Raymond Guess and Sandra Guess, and Sandra's son, Alexander Tod (Sandra) Guess. Susan also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Kyle, Jeff Jr., Jordan, Justin, Joshua, Micah, Nathanael, Jewel, and Mackenzie; and many other relatives including special cousins, Colin and Sharon Crites and Denny and Brenda Lowe.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 8 from 2-4 p.m. followed by a 4:00 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 245 Locust St., Akron, OH 44302.
