Susan Lee Brown

Susan Lee Brown, "Sue", age 60 of Tallmadge, Ohio, passed away on September 21, 2022, after fighting a fierce battle with lung cancer for the past two years.

She was born on January 30, 1962 in Ravenna, Ohio, the daughter of the late Betty Ruth Oshell.

She enjoyed woodworking, gardening, her koi pond and all of her animals.

Sue was all about her family, being a terrific wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and foster-mother. A tireless, selfless person, who put anyone's needs above her own, she had a huge heart. She was cow-girl strong and will be greatly missed!!!

Survivors include her loving husband, Jeffrey "Jeff" Brown, whom she married on December 5, 2003; her children, Nicole (David) Benson, Jessica (Alex) Grad and Joseph "Joey" Willingham; her foster-daughter, Jessica Kelley; her step-children, Crystal (Mike) Aller, Tina Brown, Joshua (Megan) Brown, Nathan (Chelsea) Brown and Carrie Brown; her grandchildren, McKenzie, Madison, Jordan, Joey, Neveah, Charlotte, Bella, Jordan, Jackson, Leora, Ava, Owen, Ana, and one on the way; and her great-grandchildren, Layla, Brantley, Cairyn, and one on the way.

Also surviving are her siblings, Robert, Debbie, John and Tammy; and many nieces and nephews. She was also known as GiGi to Braxton and Ellie; and her longtime neighbor and good friend, Nita Nickol.

Other than her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her siblings, Gary and Terri.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio at 1:00 PM.

Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 - 1:00 PM.

Following services Susan will be cremated and she will be buried in Hillside Memorial Park, Akron.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
