Susan D. (Dowey) Hendershot, 62, passed away on October 18, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on April 30, 1951 in Akron, to the late Jack and Margaret Dowey. She enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, traveling, and spending time with her daughter and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Cliff and Peggy. Survivors include her daughter, Marnie Walker; grandchildren, Emily (Cory), Bobbie, Tommy, and Kaela; great-grandchildren, Lilie Raine and Andrew Thomas; siblings, Jackie, Lois, Mike, Jack, Teddi, and Donnie; and many nieces, nephews, and friends she loved dearly.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, 4-6 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a memorial service to follow at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Community, 615 Latham Lane, Akron, OH 44319.
