Susan E. Shanks, 56, of Akron, passed away April 29, 2010. Susan was born August 23, 1953 in Akron. She graduated from Revere High School and the Wooster College of Business. Susan was a member of the Akron Turner Club and enjoyed golfing and bowling. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Charles (Don) Shanks. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Michael; father, Cecil (Etta) Beaty of Albany, KY; mother, Patricia (Ross) Posey of Norton, OH; sister, Sandra (Allen) Leeson of Lancaster, PA; nieces, Erin and Katherine Clark, Natalie Madonio; nephews, William Clark, Charles and Douglas Shanks, Cory and Chad Gravesmill; mother-in-law, Gladys Shanks; brother-in-law, Charles Shanks; sister-in-law, Teresa (Mark) Gravesmill; great-niece, Hailie Shanks and great-nephew, Anthony Madonio; and beloved cats, Smokie and Bandit.
