Susan M. King

Susan M. "Sue" King, 66, passed away March 29, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Akron to George and Doris (Hohenstein) Leidal, she was a lifelong area resident. Sue enjoyed cooking, playing cards, shopping, taking short road trips, and spending time with her family and friends. Most of all she cherished the time spent with the light of her life, her beloved granddaughter Abbie. Sue impacted the lives of everyone who knew her.

She fought a long hard battle for 10 years against cancer without ever losing her smile.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by sister, Judy Dixon; close friend, Eva Day. Sue will be sadly missed by husband of 46 years, Bill; daughters, Kristy, Nikki (Nick), Mollie; nephew, Jonny; stepson, Mark; granddaughter, Abbie; brother, George (Roberta) Leidal; niece, Stacy; nephews, Jeff (Kelly) and Georgie; lifelong friends, John and Heidi; and many other friends who loved and cherished her.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial visitation Wednesday, April 3rd at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The Memorial Ceremony will take place Thursday, April 4th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Gary Smith officiating.
