Susan Lacy was born in Pittsburgh PA on October 12, 1952, to Helen and Andrew Galisin. She passed away peacefully on February 12, 2020, at Summa Akron City Hospital, due to complications arising from long-term illnesses.
Susan was an excellent cook; and she loved gardening, watching her favorite TV shows, and spending time with her friends. She was a feisty person with a dynamic personality and a wonderful sense of humor. She was very smart and knew a lot about many subjects. She could hold her own in a conversation with anyone.
Over the years, Sue worked at Lou & Hy's Deli; Earl Scheib Paint & Body; North Star Orthopedics; and most recently she worked as a Medical Transcriptionist for Dr. Katzman.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Andrew Galisin. She is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, (together 23 years), David R. Lacy, Sr.; and their Fur Children, Tiberius (Goofy Dog) and Chester (Fat Cat).
Sue also leaves behind family members and many friends, including: Nicole Tolbert; David Lacy, Jr.; Cameron Lacy; Jocelyn Graham; Ray and Leslie Lacy, of North Carolina; Cynthia Lacy Shotwell; Washington Lacy III; Zina; Jacquelyn and Paul Kundtz; Sandy and Larry Kitchen; Wanda; Patti and John Wagner; Lisa and Robert Montgomery; Jen and Craig; Dave Buskirk; Dr. Cremer; Dr. Pinksky; Dr. Koenig; Dr. Pozsgay; and Dr. Hill.
The family would like to thank the Summa doctors and nurses who cared for Susan with compassion; and the Newcomer Funeral Home staff for their kind assistance.
Per Susan's wishes, there will be No Services; and cremation will take place.
To Everyone Mentioned Here, from Cynthia/Cindi: Please forgive me for any misspellings or omissions. I received information from David, who as you know, isn't well himself and is now grieving. Thank you for understanding.
