Susan Marie Mooney (Barb)
Susan Marie Mooney, 50, of Kent, passed into God's gentle embrace with her family and friends by her side on September 21, 2009 at Akron City Hospital. She was born in Akron, Ohio on March 18, 1959. Susan graduated from Field High School and later earned her certification as a pharmacy technician. She was an outstanding homemaker and loved cooking, baking, and having cook-outs with family and friends. She liked bowling and was a loyal fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Indians. She was employed ate Rite Aid Pharmacy in Tallmadge for eleven years. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her with her winning ways and infectious smile. Susan was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Barb. She leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband of 32 years, Dennis: her son, Matthew Mooney (his intended Amber Dowdy); her daughter, Ashlee Mooney (her intended Andrew Frank); her youngest son, Eric Mooney; her mother, Emily Barb; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends. The family wishes to thank the Akron City Hospital Oncology department, the nurses in the ICU & CCU, and Cooper Cancer Center for their kindness and care of Susan. Thank you to the many churches and prayer groups who prayed so faithfully for Susan, God bless you and we thank you. Family and friends may call on Friday from 5-9 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment at Restland Cemetery in Brimfield.
