Susie Bullock

Susie Day Bullock peacefully fell asleep in death on Friday, December 27, 2024, at the Cleveland Clinic Hospice Facility. Susie was born on March 27, 1920, in Colfax, Louisiana to John and Pauline Hadnot. She was number 9 of 10 children. 

Affectionally known as “Mother” and “Tee”, Susie was devoted to her children and worked hard to give them the best love & life possible. This level of love was felt not only by her children, but also down to her grand and great-grandchildren. Those who knew her remember her as a lady of style and class, who was never without her lipstick and a nice pair of shoes!

Susie graduated from the 1st class of Surgical Technicians at Barberton Citizens Hospital, where she worked until retirement. While she was very proud of her work at the hospital, the most valuable career, in her eyes, was her service to Jehovah. Susie was a faithful servant for nearly 50 years and attended the West Akron Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Her dedication, faith, loyalty, and zeal for the ministry was an outstanding example for all. Susie was a true beauty, inside and out, bringing joy, love, and a feeling of family to all she met. She was adored by generations of family & friends.

Susie was predeceased by her parents, John & Pauline Hadnot; husband, William “Archie” Bullock, and 9 siblings. She is survived by her 4 children: Joyce Goler, Tommie (Kimberly) Ford, Thomasine Richards, and RoseMarie (Ronnie) Hill; her 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; along with a host of friends who loved her dearly.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 4th at 3:00pm, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on 896 Vernon Odom Blvd. Akron, OH 44307. We would like to sincerely thank the Cleveland Clinic Hospice staff for the wonderful care they provided Susie, and her family, during this difficult time.
