Suzanne "Suzie" H. Blevins

Suzanne "Suzie" H. Blevins, 74, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on September 17, 2019. A lifelong resident of Akron, she graduated from Central Hower HS and retired from Akron City - Summa Health Systems after 43 years of service. Suzanne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was outspoken and loved by all. Suzie was an avid Ohio State, Cleveland Browns and Cavaliers fan. She enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren (Samantha and Brandon), a good Galley Boy and trips for ice cream. Suzanne was an active member at The Chapel in Green and volunteered at Akron Children's.

Suzanne is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny; and parents, Paul and Florence Hannig. She is survived by her children, Bruce, Ricks (Tracie), Beth, Brenda (Brian), Tahlya (Kyle); grandchildren, Samantha, Brandon, Joey, Julia, Livia, Adele, Jeffrey, Emma, Alyssa, Noah; sister, Sally (Jack); nephew, Mike (Sandy); and her canine companion, Josie.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, September 22 from 12pm-3pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A graveside memorial service will take place at 11am on Monday, September 23 at Mt. Peace Cemetery, 183 Aqueduct St., Akron.
