Tammy Lynne Harless

Tammy L. Harless passed away after an extended illness surrounded by her family on July 17, 2023 at the young age of 59. She was born on July 25, 1963 in Ronceverte, WV to David and Effie Harless. She moved to Ohio at a young age and was a 1981 graduate of Coventry High School. She loved animals more than people and watching the snow fall while watching Hallmark movies. Tammy was a longtime employee for Akron Children's Hospital where she worked as a school nurse in several schools, most recently Rimer CLC in Akron. She also spent many faithful years serving at Wil's Grille & Pub in Barberton where she was loved by so many customers and coworkers.

In addition to her parents, Tammy is preceded in death by her sister, Michelle Harless.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Ashley (Chris) Thomas; niece, Courtney Harless; long term companion, Daniel McCullough; siblings, Brenda and Brian (Beth) Harless and Cathy Overton; as well as other nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends are invited to Celebrate Tammy's Life on her birthday, Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at The Praise Chapel (1204 McIntosh Avenue, Akron, OH 44314) at 6:30pm. All are requested to wear red as it was her favorite color. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Tammy's memory to Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center or an animal shelter of your choice.
